This appellation covers 1100 hectares and produces an average of 750 000 Hectolitres per year of which 50% will be coming onto the market as Beaujolais Nouveau.

Nouveau Beaujolais
The Nouveau Beaujolais comes from the Beaujolais Gamay grape variety which goes through a short fermentation under controlled temperature with the full grape to preserve the flavour of the berries.

Rose Beaujolais
One night of maceration is enough to give birth to the Rosé Beaujolais.

It keeps its pale colour of dawn and its freshness of an early morning. Awakened, soft and delicate on the palate like a new day that begins.

Stemming from the Beaujolais Gamay Grape , this wine combines the suppleness of Rosé with the taste of Beaujolais’ fruits. Served chilled it goes excellently with light dishes.

This wine is cultivated with the same grape variety and the same soil as the Red Beaujolais.

At Pizay the Rosé is a press wine which passed maceration and pressing without bleeding.

Beaujolais Blanc
The Beaujolais Blanc is a rare treasure in Beaujolais and hard to find within the Pizay vineyards. This exquisitely delicate vintage is the prize piece of the Château.

Its luminous colour and subtle bouquet come as such a pleasant surprise, which makes you fall in love with, at first taste.

The Beaujolais Blanc represents less than 5% of the whole Beaujolais production.

The majority of Beaujolais Blanc is produced in the northern zone, near Mâconnais.

Organic Beaujolais
Respect for nature inspires the specification of organic agriculture and gives the opportunity to the Gamay grape to express its character on granite soil.

Natural technology is used, such as ploughing, smaller yield per hectare.

Its ripe grape aromas and freshness exude pleasure and “drinkability”.

Flower of the vineyard, well constituted, robust and powerful, this is distinguished by its bright grenadine red colour and its strong personality which enables it to age through the years.

This appellation covers 1100 hectares and produces an average of 55000 hectolitres per year.

They say that it has the fruitiness of a Beaujolais and the charm of a Burgundy.

The appellation covers 650 hectares and produces an average of 36 000 hectolitres per year.

Régnié is the last Beaujolais which was recognized as a Cru. Characterized by freshness and a flavour of red fruits.

The Château de Pizay owns a vineyard in Régnié which makes a typical wine, remarkable due to its aromas of raspberry.

The chapel erected on the top of the hill  was built in 1857 to protect the vineyards.

The last portions of this very ancient domain were purchased by the Château de Pizay in 1998.

The Château de St Lager Brouilly wines are produced at the foot of the hill , the slimy and sandy soils give the wine an intense and soft fruity touch, the tasting is supple and elegant.

Based on a Chardonnay from the Domaine du Château de Pizay this wine is made by an expert of the champagne making proces.

Developed on lath during 9 months before having a riddling and a dosage.
